Complex geometry adds setup

Multi-angle bends, long legs, special hooks and compact 3D forms require more stations, tools and development, with a larger effect on low-volume first runs.

Tolerance drives correction and sorting

Requirements beyond stable capability may need secondary setting, dedicated gauges or full inspection. Tightening drawing numbers alone does not improve function.

Secondary processes add lot costs

Grinding, heat treatment, peening, plating, cleaning and packaging have minimum lots and handling loss, while adding lead time and process risk.

Reduce cost from function

Identify critical loads and fits, relax reference features, consolidate material and finishes, and provide stable forecasts instead of focusing only on raw material price.
